FASCIAL MOVEMENT

Designed for fitness, medical and therapy professionals, Merrithew Fascial Movement workshops and courses explore the latest research findings on the neuromyofascial skeletal system.

With an emphasis on movement variables including Bounce, Sense, Expand and Hydrate, Merrithew Fascial Movement training offers a thorough understanding of what fascia is, what it does, how it moves and how to work with it across a range of varying modalities.

Upon completion of the Instructor Course, participants will be able to incorporate content taught in the course to their existing qualifications/training and can use the term “trained in Merrithew Fascial Movement”.

ZEN⋅GA®

The ZEN•GA® program is a teaching modality that consciously connects the body and the mind through a fusion of Pilates, yoga, martial arts and meditation. Through intention and imagery, ZEN•GA will unleash the body from tension and bring more clarity to the mind. Using props and equipment, we stimulate the fascial system and build endurance, strength, mobility and stability while cultivating a greater sense of physical awareness.

Total Barre®

The dynamic Total Barre® program is intended for those already working in the fields of fitness or movement. Instructors looking to bring music-inspired movement to their clients will love the 11 specially arranged and selected segments that serve as the template for each session or class.

Segments are accompanied by timed selections of music, each at a designated pace and focus on individual areas of the body or movement type.

Upon completion of the Instructor Foundation Course, participants will be able to teach the Total Barre method of exercise. Only upon the receipt of their certificate will they be entitled to identify themselves as a Total Barre Qualified Instructor.

Halo® Training

The Halo® Training program is designed for fitness instructors teaching group classes and individual clients. More than just a prop, the Halo Trainer Plus is featured as the basis for a complete training program that allows instructors to manipulate exercise attributes and intensity in individual training plans. Incorporating the basic science behind core-integrated bodyweight training, the unique design of the Halo® Trainer Plus and the use of a Stability Ball and additional small props, gives fitness trainers extensive and highly applicable tools.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CONTINUING EDUCATION

We welcome all Pilates and Fitness Instructors to learn and benefit from our programs.  Our workshops can supplement your current training and programming. They cover a variety of topics such as foundational movement; athletic conditioning; rehabilitation and special populations; fascial movement; and more!

We offer MerrithewTM Continuing Education workshops as well as our own Northeast Pilates signature workshops.
